Kitchen 21, a once-popular dining establishment, has unfortunately closed its doors. With its prime location along the boardwalk and breathtaking views of the ocean, Kitchen 21 was a go-to destination for locals and tourists alike. The bartenders were renowned for their craft cocktails, and the rooftop patio provided the perfect setting for a relaxing evening. Whether guests were looking to enjoy a beachside party or indulge in a delectable lobster roll, Kitchen 21 had something for everyone. The management team consistently ensured that guests had an exceptional experience, and the live jazz performances added a touch of sophistication to the ambiance. Though Kitchen 21 has ceased operations, the memories created within its walls will forever be cherished.

A very nice location, beautiful views on the top floor however the service and food needs a lot of work. The staff is not enthusiastic and slow. The drinks are very overpriced and food is an average price for NY I guess. We order a sangria, corona and a Brooklyn pizza, that came out to $43. Interestingly enough they don’t give you receipts to add tips. Sangria came in a cool palm tree bottle but it tasted like a juice with zero alcohol. Pizza ..... well it was probably the worst pizza I’ve ever had; burnt, dry and maybe one tiny piece of prosciutto. No plates or napkins... I think I saw people come in with their own booze and just enjoy the location and the view.

The beautiful view. Not too crowded, but you supposed to wait like a 30 minutes to get a drink at the bar downstairs. They also have a rooftop with this incredible view. And mushroom pizza with truffle oil.... supergood. But you have to do something with your bar downstairs, hire some bartenders.

Service is mediocre but food is the best you can get in that area. Wait time is completely random. They had our pizzas for 25 minutes waiting outside the oven in their heat lamps while the waiters are talking to each other. They offered us a free beer for the wait which they also forgot to bring. This could be a super successful business but the service isn't there. Food menu is not very extensive for vegetarians.

This place is GREAT!! It's HUGE! Love the rooftop... nice view of the ocean😍 The food is good, a little "pretentious" (😏) and VERY OVERPRICED for the portions!! But certainly a place I WOULD recommend!! …

Kitchen 21 is a combination of everything that's great about Coney Island all in one location. It was carved out of the long-derelict Child's Restaurant off the Boardwalk that once had its heyday during Coney Island's Golden Age. Over the past few years, the building was lovingly restored back to it's original splendor including original nautical-themed plates that adorn the facade. Humongous semi-circular windows that punctuate the walls of the building give diners great views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Parachute Jump, and MCU Stadium. The restaurant is actually composed of three distinct sections: a rooftop bar, a ground-floor cafe where you can order from a 'to-go' menu, and a more formal restaurant. Diners have a choice of sitting at a high table or a low table. The place pays homage to old Coney Island with various amusement park items such as a bumper car and High Striker strongman game. There is also a reproduction of one of the original Parachute Jump chairs. Up to three people can sit on the chair and make it bounce up and down. We sat down and ordered fried calamari as an appetizer. The calamari, which was drizzled with some sort of brown sauce was one of the most delicious I've ever tasted. For the main course, my son and I ordered a Mediterranean Chicken sandwich. Everything about this sandwich was fresh and delicious including the glazed bun that held the sandwich together. The only drawback was the slippery layer of olive tapenade that made the sandwich fall apart, but that was a price I didn't mind paying for such a delectable sandwich. Complementing the sandwich was a decent portion of freshly-cut onion-flavored french fries. My meal was topped off with a TALL glass of Mermaid Beer that was "imported" from the Coney Island Brewery two blocks away. By the time our waiter asked if we wanted a dessert menu, I was too stuffed to say yes. Overall, the prices were reasonable and the quality and healthy-sized portions of each dish were well worth our visit.

Great place to eat, food and atmosphere is great. Staff are very accommodating. Although bs prepared prices are a shy above basic price point because of its location. But still fairly inexpensive.

A semi-upscale restaurant in Coney Island. The place is a mashup of four different food options. My girlfriend and I chose to go to the rooftop bar.... 🌟🌟🌟🌟 4 stars for service. The hostess was very friendly and informative. The bartenders were friendly and recommended drinks for us to try. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 stars for the ocean view. Self explanatory 🌟🌟 2 stars for the food. I don't know if they are still working the kinks out but the duck wings were salty and the truffle, cheese fries were seriously lacking truffle and cheese. 🌟🌟 2 stars for the price. I get what they are trying to do here and it could work but the quality of food needs a huge upgrade. If this was a lounge or a bar then having sub par food wouldn't be a deal breaker.

I don’t recommend this place because I’d like to keep it to myself :) beautiful, quiet if no one’s playing arcade games but still one-of the perfect spots for a nice drink. Bartender was nice too.
